Is Tele5 Taxi a taxi company?

No. Tele5 Taxi is a directory — we list and compare taxi and ride services in Hungary but do not operate vehicles ourselves.

Is Uber available in Budapest?

Yes, through a partnership with Főtaxi. You use the regular Uber app; the ride is fulfilled by a licensed Hungarian taxi driver at regulated meter rates.

Which app has the best coverage in Hungary?

Bolt has the largest ride-hailing presence outside Budapest, covering Debrecen, Szeged, Győr, and others. Uber is Budapest-only.

Do I need cash?

No. Bolt and Uber are card-only through the app. Főtaxi and Pickup Hungary accept card and cash.

What about taxis at the airport?

Főtaxi is the only company with the official airport taxi rank. Bolt and Uber work from the dedicated ride-hailing pickup zone. Pre-booked transfers (Pickup Hungary) meet you inside arrivals.
